Wing dispatch started on June 15th when the centre wing box left the Airbus factory in Nantes, France for delivery by road.

The two outer wings were constructed at the Airbus site at Filton, UK, which were loaded on 2 August and left Filton Airfield inside the cargo bay of the Airbus A300-600ST Super Transporter aircraft.

The A400M wing components are constructed of advanced materials, predominantly composite materials such as carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), using the latest manufacturing processes and technology.
