Cessna has appointed Thailand aerospace firm MJETs as an authorized service facility for its Citation aircraft.

"We're thrilled to see MJETS invest the time, money and personnel to earn appointment as an authorized Citation service facility," says Brad Thress, Cessna's senior vice president customer service. "This is one of many steps Cessna is taking to strengthen and enhance the service product we supply in Asia."

Based at Bangkok's Don Mueung Airport, MJETS offers a range of business and general aviation services. These include aircraft sales, management services, fixed base operations, flight planning, and ground handling.

MJETS executive chairman Jaiyavat says the company has invested over $10 million in new facilities. "We see maintenance services provided through our new hangar complex at Don Meung as a logical next step for our business. By focusing on the Citation product line we support the biggest product family in the world and see tremendous growth opportunities for both MJETS and Cessna."

Cessna also announced that it has added a field service manager for the Pacific Rim. Eleven year company veteran Chad White will be based in Singapore. He has a US Federal Aviation Administration airframe and powerplant licence, is Six Sigma certified and holds two degrees in aviation technology.
