BAE Systems has selected AAI to supply a mission crew simulator for the US Air Force's Compass Call command, control and communications countermeasures aircraft, a modified Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules, under an $18 million contract.
The new simulator will replace a Compass Call Block 20 simulator delivered to the USAF by AAI in 1981. The simulator will be built to the current EC-130H Block 30 aircraft configuration, with plans to upgrade it to Block 35 standard after delivery in November 2003.
