An accident involving a Safair Lockheed L-100 Commercial Hercules on 18 February was reported incorrectly in Flight International, 25-31 July, PP66/67. The correct details are: the aircraft (ZS-JIY), chartered by the United Nations, was carrying five crew and 24 passengers from Dili, East Timor, to Darwin, Australia. As the gear would not deploy, the captain belly-landed the aircraft at Darwin. There were no injuries and the aircraft has since been returned to flying condition, the airline confirms.
