Lockheed Martin has teamed with UK engineering consultancy The Smith Group, Hunting Engineering and Thomson-CSF to bid for work on the UK Air Command and Control System (ACCS). A 12-month project demonstration phase award is expected in November, with a final award in 2001. The ACCS should be operational by late 2003.
