Rafael is to expand the operational capabilities of its Spice bomb guidance kit in response to initial Israeli air force experience in using the weapon. Requested modifications include the addition of a night-capable seeker, a redesign to the system's control surfaces to extend its range, and the introduction of a battle-damage assessment capability using its current electro-optical seeker.
