NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama has selected AEA Technology's CFX 4 computational dynamics tool to enable it to study complex fluid-flow problems. NASA used CFX 4 to study the problem of propellant "sloshing" in the fuel tanks of space vehicles during flight, as part of its evaluation of the software, says Harwell, UK-based AEA.
