Aer Lingus has selected the Airbus A320 to meet its European requirements and plans to switch to an all-Airbus fleet by placing 17 firm orders and 10 options. Seven of the A320s will come direct from Airbus with the remaining 10 firm orders to be taken on seven-year operating leases from ILFC. All will be powered by the CFM International CFM56 engine.
