LIBERTY FOR POLAND
Liberty Aerospace has appointed JB Investments as distributor for its XL2 piston single in Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine. The Konstancin Jeziorna, Poland-based company is also a regional distributor for fellow general aviation aircraft manufacturers Diamond and Piper.
EXTRA ENTEGRA
Avidyne unveiled at Aero Friedrichshafen the Entegra Release 9 integrated flightdeck for the Extra EA-500 single-engined turboprop. Hünxe, Germany-headquartered Extra Aircraft was the first manufacturer to choose this avionics suite as factory-standard equipment for the six-seat aircraft.
PHENOM 300 DEBUT
Embraer introduced its Phenom 300 at Aero Friedrichshafen as it awaits European approval of the very light jet before the end of June. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E-powered eight-seat aircraft - which received Brazilian and US approval last December - has a range of 3,650km (1,970nm) and can fly non-stop, says Embraer, from London to Athens.
AIR CONDITIONED SR20
Cirrus is offering air conditioning as an option on its SR20 piston single. The move follows demand from customers in hot climates but will not be available as a retrofit, the company says.
