Elisra has launched its electronic warfare integrated active and passive self-protection suite for helicopters and transport aircraft at the show.
The suite combines radar and laser warning receivers with an infrared passive missile approach warning system, jammer, laser-based directional infrared countermeasures system and chaff and flare dispensers. The system provides a quick reaction time and effective responses to all types of threats, says Elisra.
"The system searches and detects threats, provides warning and provides jamming against airborne and ground-based electro-optical, radio frequency and laser threats presented by all types of air defence systems, including missiles, Manpads, ground-based fire, rocket-propelled grenades and others," it adds.
The system also offers other features, including pinpoint geolocation of threats from platform protection to protecting an entire mission, says Elisra.
