Aerolia has identified four partners for a new factory the company is establishing in Tunisia to produce metal and composite parts.
The company plans to work with a network of partners to build tools and metal and composite detail parts at the site, which is located close to the M'Ghira aeronautical zone. Additionally, Aerolia aims to perform surface treatment and logistical operations at the facility.
Today during the Paris Air Show Aerolia company executives said investment in the 10,000 sq m facility should reach €30 million.
Aerolia has picked Figeac Aero for mechanical parts, Mecahers for sheet metal, Mecanyvois for jigs production and maintenance and Corse Composites for composite parts production.
Company chief executive officer Christian Cornille says Aerolia is targeting 10 suppliers for the site, and plans to produce and deliver the first parts in 2010.
Aerolia is a subsidiary of EADS comprising former Airbus sites in Meaulte and Saint Nazaire Ville. The facilities became part of the EADS aerostructures reorganisation after divestment talks failed.
