Aeronautics has resumed marketing its Dominator XP unmanned air system (UAS) as the Israeli manufacturer emerges from a financial restructuring.
The revitalised company considers the medium-altitude, long-endurance type as a system "with high potential" thanks to its twin-engined design, which is based on the piston-powered Diamond Aircraft DA42.
"We are resuming the marketing effort and the market looks very promising," says Dany Eshchar, deputy chief executive for marketing and sales at Aeronautics.
The first export contract for the Dominator XP was signed in mid-2011, shortly after the UAS was cleared for foreign sales by the Israeli ministry of defence.
Aeronautics says the Dominator XP can achieve an endurance of 28h and is capable of carrying a 300kg payload.
