Lockheed Martin has selected Alenia Aeronautica subsidiary Officine Aeronavali Venezia (OAN) to operate the first C-130J heavy maintenance facility, as part of the offset agreement attached to the sale of 22 of the transports to Italy. OAN, headquartered in Venice, will perform the work at a newly built facility located in Brindisi. The Italian air force has taken delivery of 21 C-130Js.
