Bent on expansion, Venezuela's Aeropostale has convinced AeroRepublica to sell it a one-third stake. AeroRepublica will be Colombia's number two carrier after the merger of Aces and Avianca. Aeropostale shifted its growth strategy to Colombia after giving up on plans to revive the Dominican Republic's defunct flag carrier, Dominicana.
