Indian charter operator FlyBig has signed a letter of intent covering the purchase of up to 10 De Havilland Canada Twin Otter Series 400 turboprops.
Registered as Big Charter Private, the operator will work with De Havilland Canada towards a definitive purchase agreement comprising five firm orders and options for another five aircraft.
FlyBig says it will use the twin-turboprops to “provide connectivity to communities that were not previously accessible by air.”
Powered by twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 engines, the Twin Otter can carry up to 19 passengers.
