Aerospatiale urgently needs new investors to shore up its limited cash reserves, according to a French Parliamentary report on the state of the defence industry. The report says that the group needs an extra Fr10 billion ($1.7 billion) for reserves, which started the year at only Fr4.8 billion. It concludes that the state is "unable to support "the financing, needed in part to help support Airbus research and development commitments, arguing for an "opening of capital".
