BAE Systems, Qinetiq and Roke Manor Research have developed an affordable, high bandwidth, secured and assured satellite communications system called Agile Information Transfer Ability (AGILITY). The system comes from a UK Ministry of Defence-sponsored research programme to develop a military band, electronically beam-steered antenna with no moving parts.
