THE BELGIAN COURTS now possess documentary evidence from Italian helicopter manufacturer Agusta claiming that the company had to pay commissions to various Belgian ministries over the sale of the A109.
The written statement by then senior Agusta management states that commissions were paid "...to the Belgian ministries of defence and of economic affairs in order to secure the deal, which they would otherwise not have secured.
