AgustaWestland has won a contract from the Japanese police for four A109 Power light-twin helicopters as part of a programme to modernise the agency’s helicopter fleet. The order follows the March delivery of three A109s to the agency and will swell the police helicopter fleet to 11 including a AW139 medium twin.
