The Public Security Bureau of China in Zhejiang province has ordered two AgustaWestland helicopters. The order comprises one single-engined AW119K and one AW139 medium twin-engined helicopter, says AgustaWestland, a unit of Finmeccanica. The helicopters will be used for law enforcement and firefighting missions.
Over 190 AW119s have been ordered in around 30 countries, while the AW139s have been sold in around 50 countries to nearly 140 customers, says AgustaWestland.
Missions for both types include law enforcement, utility, firefighting, emergency medical service, VIP/corporate transport, disaster relief and offshore transport.
