Russian air taxi company Dexter has chosen Air Alpha of Odense, Denmark, to provide technical support for a batch of soon-to-be-acquired Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprops.

"We want to make sure that these aircraft could be maintained in Russia without a hitch," says Dexter project manager Yevgeny Andrachnikov.

Air Alpha, a dealer for Pilatus and Piper Aircraft in the Baltics, operates PC-12 support facilities in Denmark and Sweden.

Air Alpha managing director Bjarne Jorssel expects a deal to be signed by October and says the Russian cities of Nizhny Novgorod and Samara are leading candidates to host a support centre.
