Air Arabia will add Cairo to its network at the end of this month with a new thrice-weekly service.
The Saudi carrier will begin the new service on 27 February. Cairo will be its fifth destination in Egypt after Alexandria, Asyut, Luxor and Sawhaj.
Innovata schedules show that Sharjah-based Air Arabia will compete with EgyptAir on the Cairo route.
“With tourism and trade in Egypt gathering momentum and led by the strong population of Egyptians who work and live in the UAE, our new service to Cairo will only add value to both nations,” says Air Arabia chief executive Adel Ali.
