St Petersburg-based Rossiya Airlines and Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana have separately contracted maintenance specialist Boeing Shanghai to undertake C-checks on Boeing 767s.
Air Astana will send two out of its four 767-300ERs to the manufacturer’s MRO joint venture with China Eastern Airlines and the local airport authority at Shanghai's Pudong hub. Meanwhile, Rossiya has signed an agreement for C-checks on all three of its 767-300ERs.
Both airlines are new customers for Boeing Shanghai.
Work on the aircraft began this month.
“We see these new agreements as the start of long and mutually beneficial relationships with Air Astana and Rossiya Airlines,” says Boeing Shanghai chief executive Dermot Swan.
