Kazakh flag carrier Air Astana has mandated HSBC to arrange an export credit agency (ECA)-guaranteed loan covering its last two Airbus A320 deliveries.
The first aircraft (MSN 5734) is due later this month. The second aircraft is expected to close in September.
The facility is guaranteed by Germany's Euler Hermes and has a 12-year tenor, confirms the carrier.
HSBC closed an ECA-backed financing facility on a new A320 (MSN 5613) for Air Astana in May.
The Almaty-based carrier has now closed ECA-guaranteed financings on six new A320 family aircraft. RBS acted as a guaranteed lender on the first three units.
The International Aero Engines V2500- powered fleet order was placed in 2008, but the Kazakh carrier converted two A320 orders into the larger A321 model in 2011.
