An Air Atlanta Cargo Boeing 747-200F was substantially damaged when it overran the runway at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, after aborting a take-off on 7 November. Some tyres burst, but it is not clear whether this was a part of the reason for the rejected take-off or the result of the abort. There were no crew injuries. The 18-year-old General Electric CF6-50E2-powered aircraft, TF-ARR, was acquired by Air Atlanta last year.
