Air Seychelles and Air Berlin have signed a codeshare agreement for connecting flights via Abu Dhabi, effective immediately.
The Seychellois flag carrier will initially place its code on four of Air Berlin's daily services to Abu Dhabi from Berlin and Düsseldorf.
In return, the German carrier will place its code on four of Air Seychelles weekly flights to Abu Dhabi from Mahé in the Seychelles.
Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of Abu Dhabi, holds minority stakes in both carriers - 40% of Air Seychelles and 29.21% of Air Berlin.
The Gulf carrier already operates 26 weekly codeshares to Germany with Air Berlin, and four weekly codeshares to Mahé with Air Seychelles.
By 24 March, the total number of weekly flights operated between Germany and the Seychelles by the carriers will reach 54.
