Air Berlin has signed a codeshare agreement with Italy's Meridiana Fly.
The contract covers flights from Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart to Bari, Brindisi, Catania, Florence, Milan, Naples, Olbia, Palermo, Rome, Venice and Verona.
Some of the routes will be flown nonstop, while others will require onward connections.
Starting with the beginning of the winter schedule on 30 October, this is Air Berlin's first codeshare agreement with an Italian airline.
Sardinia-headquartered Meridiana is currently not serving destinations in Germany, according to its website.
