Air Canada has backed off its plan to begin a low-fare alliance with Skyservice and instead will launch its own low-cost operation after reaching an agreement with the Air Canada Pilots Association. 'Air Canada Lite' will begin later this year with up to 20 dedicated aircraft under a name to be announced.
