Air Canada ordered as many as 30 Embraer 175s as part of its revitalisation plan, which focuses on higher-frequency services on lower-capacity domestic routes, as well as a select international expansion. The $840 million order for 15 of the 73-seat Embraer 175s, plus options for 15 more, comes on top of a previous Air Canada commitment for up to 90 of the 90-seat Embraer 190. The Embraer 175s will have nine business-class seats and 64 coach seats.
