Air Canada's western Canada-based low-fare airline Zip Air launched services last week with six Boeing 737-200s on services between its Calgary hub and Edmonton, Vancouver and Winnipeg. The airline, which is Air Canada's challenge to incumbent no-frills carrier WestJet, plans to have 20 aircraft in its fleet within two years as it expands its network.
