Air Europa has completed the pre-delivery payment financing of a Boeing 787‐8 in the capital markets.
Dublin-based Aviation Finance Company says it arranged funding for 100% of the PDP payment.
The aircraft is to be delivered in 2017.
"AFC's capital markets operations create new and exciting avenues for financing fleets of new aircraft," says Juan Jose Hidalgo, president of Air Europa parent Globalia. "This financing directly supports our critical initiatives."
Air Europa operates a fleet of 53 aircraft, comprising 14 Airbus A330s, 20 737-800s, a single 787-8 leased from LOT, 11 Embraer 195 regional jets, one ERJ-145 and six ATR 72 turboprops, Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows. The carrier has orders for eight 787-8s and 14 787-9s.
