Air France has sent a request for proposals to bankers for one Boeing 787-9 the carrier is set to take delivery of next year, sources say.
The RFP was formally issued in the last week, with first bids due in the early part of the new year, FlightGlobal understands.
French banks are touted as the front runners to be mandated for the financing given that they will likely put in extremely competitive bids, a finance source says.
Flight Fleets Anlayzer indicates Air France will take delivery of two 787-9s in 2017. Air France will take delivery of an ordered Dreamliner in April, while one unit on lease from AerCap will arrive in September, Fleets Analyzer shows.
Air France did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
