Air France is close to mandating Japanese operating lease with call option (JOLCO) financing for a Boeing 787 set to be delivered later this year, a source with knowledge of proceedings has indicated.
The airline last last year issued a request for proposals to bankers for the Dreamliner financing, as previously reported by FlightGlobal.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Air France will take delivery of two 787-9s in 2017. The airline will receive an ordered 787 in April, while another Dreamliner, to be leased from AerCap, will arrive in September.
Air France did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
