Jade cargo plan

China's Jade Cargo International, which began operations on 5 August, may acquire six more aircraft as part of a fleet expansion. The airline's initial fleet plan comprised six Boeing 747-400ERFs, but another six aircraft could join the fleet from 2009 or 2010. No decision has been made on the type of aircraft to be added.

Airasia rules

Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand have agreed to standardise rules governing operations by the AirAsia Group, which has low-cost airlines in all three countries. AirAsia says regional co-operation will harmonise rules relating, among other things, to pilot age limits and maintenance standards.
