Airbus has revealed an order for 12 A350s and 30 A320neo-family jets, attributed to an undisclosed customer, in its latest backlog figures.
The widebody part of the 6 March order is split between six A350-1000s and six -900s.
Airbus has also listed a second, separate undisclosed order for 40 A321neos.
Its backlog data for March recorded two large agreements from lessors – the 70 single-aisle jets ordered by BOC Aviation and another 50 for Jackson Square Aviation.
Six A350-1000s and three A321neos for Taiwanese carrier EVA Air rounded off the busy month.
Analysis of the backlog data shows that Indian carrier Go First has cancelled 72 A320neos, its entire outstanding order.
Go First collapsed almost two years ago.
The overall agreements – accounting for the Go First removal – lifted Airbus’s net orders for the first quarter to 204 aircraft.
Airbus delivered 136 aircraft in the quarter. This was lower than the 142 at the same point last year, confirming the airframer’s expectation of a short-term delivery dip owing to supply-chain issues affecting engines.
