AirAsia group is dropping Johor Bahru-Bangkok but is adding Kuala Lumpur-Colombo and Bangkok-Taipei.

An AirAsia spokesman in Kuala Lumpur says the daily Johor Bahru-Bangkok service operated by AirAsia of Malaysia is being suspended from 29 June onwards due to poor passenger loads and the capacity is being deployed to other routes.

An AirAsia spokeswoman in Kuala Lumpur says early next month the Malaysian airline will start selling tickets for a daily non-stop service starting in August from Kuala Lumpur to Colombo in Sri Lanka.

She also says Thai AirAsia is launching a daily non-stop service from Bangkok to Taipei but she declines to comment further. An industry source says this service starts in the third quarter.
