AirAsia has picked Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) for the component MRO support for its fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The agreement, which includes component repair services and solutions to maximise aircraft availability, will cover over 300 jets. It also includes the provision of a main base kit at AirAsia’s KLIA2 hub in Kuala Lumpur.
The deal follows an earlier agreement where AFI KLM E&M provides AirAsia X, AirAsia’s long-haul low-cost subsidiary, with component MRO support for its A330s.
Flight Fleets Analyser shows that AirAsia’s main Malaysian operation, currently flies 77 A320s.
