Airbus exceeded 500 orders and 500 deliveries during 2010, although the airframer will not disclose full details of its tally until next week.
The airframer had booked 440 gross orders by the end of November, but its net figure stood at 388 after changes and cancellations.
Airbus parent company EADS' chief, Louis Gallois, stated at a briefing in Paris today that the manufacturer secured over 500 orders and exceeded 500 deliveries.
He also confirmed that its book-to-bill ratio would be greater than one - meaning it had more orders than deliveries.
Rival Boeing booked 530 net orders and delivered 462 aircraft during the year.
