Ministers from the four Airbus partner nations have confirmed their commitment to the A400M military transport. Alfred Tacke, state secretary in Germany's ministry of economics and technology and coordinator for the aircraft and space industry, says the issue of German financing for the second batch of A400Ms "will be solved" and the "agreement will be financed". Despite the delay in German approval, the UK remains "fully committed to the programme", says secretary of state for trade and industry Patricia Hewitt.
