Sir - I do not understand Airbus Industrie's concern over the fact that, the Boeing 737 is allowed to be certificated to an older standard. Surely passengers will be so appreciative of the new safety standards to which Airbus aircraft are certificated that they will seek out Airbus-equipped airlines. If that is not true, then why do we allow the bureaucrats to justify their existence by dreaming up new standards when the travelling public is quite happy with the old ones?
For myself, I am happy with the Boeings. At least full back stick will give me the angle of attack I want, not one which a committee and a computer think I should have.
