United Airlines has ordered 16 Boeing 777-200s, one 747-400 and six 767-300s. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 1999 through 2002. KLM has ordered four 737-800s for delivery in 2000. Federal Express has confirmed an order for three MD-11 freighters, the first of which will be delivered in March 1999. TWA has ordered 24 MD-83s with deliveries from May to December 1999. Air Canada has ordered two Airbus A340-500s and three A340-600s plus 10 options, with deliveries due to start in 2002. Tunisian carrier Nouvelair has ordered one A320 plus two options. Turkish Airlines has converted options for two A340-300s into firm orders, with deliveries starting in the first half of 1999. Widerøe Flyveselskap has ordered two Dash 8Q-300s, plus one option, for delivery by September 1998. Midway Airlines has converted three of its 10 options for CRJ-200ERs into firm orders. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 1999. Brit Air has ordered six CRJ-100s and two CRJ-700s, with deliveries scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2000.
