Garuda Indonesia has signed orders for six Boeing 777-200s, to be delivered between 1997 and 1999, and 17 B737-300s and B737-500s, planned for delivery between 1997 and 1999. It also has taken options on six B747-400s. Egyptair's additional order for three Boeing 777s is for delivery between May and August 1997.
Air France has ordered five Airbus A340-300Es to replace three A340-200s between November 1997 and December 1998. Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise has ordered eight A320s and four A321s, for delivery from January 1998. Meanwhile, Egyptair expects delivery of four A321s in mid-1997.
Italian start-up Alpi Eagles has bought three ex-Swissair Fokker F100s from British Aerospace Asset Management-Jets, formerly Asset Management Organisation. Qantas partners Airlink and Southern Australia Airlines have leased five BAe146s from AMJ, and Airlink is extending a lease on a further BAe146. AMJ has delivered a fourth BAe146-300 to Aer Lingus.
Zambian Express has ordered its first ATR42-320, while Air Mauritius is to take delivery of a further two in April and June 1997. Yangon Airways has placed an order for two ATR72s, with deliveries in April and June 1997.
CityFlyer Express has placed orders for two Avro RJ100s, for delivery in March and April 1997, with options for two more.
Bombardier Regional Aircraft is to supply Caribbean regional LIAT with three de Havilland Dash 8-300s this summer.
