American Eagle has ordered 42 Embraer 145s, plus 25 options, with deliveries starting in February 1998. Continental Express has converted 25 of its options for EMB.145s into firm orders.
Northwest Airlines has ordered 50 Airbus A319s, with 100 options, with deliveries between 1999 and 2003. Finnair has ordered two A321s, plus 10 further aircraft to be selected from A319s, A320s and A321s, with options on 24 more, for delivery between 1998 and 2001. TAMhas ordered five A330-200s, plus five options, with deliveries starting in the second half of 1998. Monarch Airlines has ordered two A330-200s and two A321s; deliveries start in March 1999.
American Airlines has ordered seven Boeing B777-200IGWs, for delivery in 1999 and 2000. Atlas Air has ordered 10 B747-400 freighters, with options on 10 more, for delivery between 1998 and 2001. British Airways has converted five options for B777s and ordered three B767s, with deliveries between April 1998 and April 1999. Icelandair has ordered two B757-300s and two B757-200s, plus eight options, with deliveries between 1998 and 2002. LanChile has ordered three B767-300s, with deliveries beginning in April 1998. Leasing firm Sunrock has ordered five B737-600s and two B737-300s.
Eurowings has ordered five ATR42-500s, with options on five more. Air Dolomiti has ordered three ATR72-210As and one ATR42-500. Air Caledonie has ordered one ATR42. British World Airlines has ordered two new ATPs and Sun-Air of Scandinavia is buying two ATPs and a J41.
Ohio-based Comair has ordered 30 Canadair Regional Jets, 12 of which are conditional, plus 45 options. American Eagle has ordered 25 CRJ-700s, plus 25 options, with deliveries from 2001.
French regional Proteus Airlines has ordered six Fairchild Dornier 328JETs, with deliveries starting in 1999. Aspen Mountain Air has ordered four 328JETs with four options, as well as four Do328 turboprops.
Rheintalflug of Austria has ordered one de Havilland Dash 8Q-300, plus one option.
Sicilian startup Med Airlines has ordered two Saab 2000s, plus two options with the first due for arrival in November 1997.
