KLM and US partner Northwest will start a joint venture service between Amsterdam and Memphis from the end of June 1995. The four times weekly service to Northwest's third major US hub will be operated by a KLM MD-11 and is the US city's first intercontinental link.

United has signed a comprehensive marketing agreement with Grand Cayman-based Cayman Airways. The Caribbean carrier will codeshare with the US major on the former's Miami and Tampa services to Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.

Air Seychelles was set to start a weekly services from the Seychelles to Bombay via Dubai at the end of December 1994 using a B757-200ER.

Eva Air will transfer its three weekly London-Bangkok-Taipei services from Gatwick to Heathrow from the end of January.

Silkair was due to operate five charter flights between Singapore and Solo, Indonesia last month. The flights are in preparation for scheduled service between the two points, which requires an as yet unnamed Indonesian part - ner carrier.

Wideroe of Norway will launch twice weekly flights between Bergen and Sumburgh in the Shetland Islands from May.

British Airways Express will start daily London/Gatwick-Cork services from the end of March operated by franchisee CityFlyer Express with an ATR 72.
