Japan Airlines is scheduled to introduce a three times weekly service from Nagoya to Los Angeles, a twice weekly service between Nagoya and London/Heathrow and a weekly Hiroshima to Honolulu service, as well as a daily Fukushima to Sapporo operation this April.

United Airlines is due to introduce a daily service between Munich and Washington DC/Dulles on 10 June.

Crossair is launching a direct service between Zurich and Birmingham.

British Regional Airlines was due to start daily services from Southampton to Zurich and Dublin in March.

Delta Express plans to start daily services from Cleveland, Kansas City and Houston/ Hobby to Orlando.

British Airways is to codeshare on Canadian Airlines' three times weekly London/ Heathrow to Ottawa service and daily Heathrow to Toronto flight on 1 June.

Continental Airlines has started codesharing on Virgin Atlantic's services from London/Heathrow to New York/JFK, Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami and Washington/Dulles and on services from London/ Gatwick to Newark, Boston and Orlando. The codeshare is due to be extended to seasonal flights between Manchester and Orlando.

Skywest Airlines is to take over from WestAir and operate daily flights from San Francisco International to Arcata/Eureka, Bakersfield, Chico, Fresno, Merced, Modesto, Monterey, Redding, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Santa Rosa as United Express from 1 June.

Dragonair was due to introduce three times weekly services from Hong Kong to Fuzhou, Fujian Province, on 25 February.

Nippon Cargo Airlines was set to commence a twice weekly all-cargo service between Portland International Airport and Osaka in March.

Air France and Aeromexico are to renew their codeshare agreement on Paris-Mexico City from April.

SAS has acquired 100% of the shares of Finnish domestic carrier Air Botnia. The cooperation will focus on further developing Helsinki as a hub and will extend to timetables and frequent-flyer programmes.
