SAS has launched a thrice weekly service from Copen-hagen to Poznan, the carrier's third Polish destination.

Ansett Australia is to begin

codesharing on seven existing Malaysia Airlines services and on a new Saturday service between Sydney and Kuala Lumpur via Melbourne. Meanwhile, Ansett has also entered a codeshare agreement with EVA Air, on services between Taipei and Sydney.

EVA Air has launched its first European freighter operation between Taipei and Amsterdam via Dubai and Singapore.

Cathay Pacific is to launch five weekly services between Hong Kong and New York next July. The carrier has signed a codeshare deal with British Midland on London-Glasgow.

Continental Airlines is planning to operate a daily service from Newark to Bogota, Colombia, and Lima, Peru, pending US government approval.

America West Airlines will launch two new daily nonstop flights from Mexico City to Phoenix and Las Vegas in January.

KLM plans to launch a twice weekly service from Amsterdam to Addis Ababa subject to the approval of the Ethiopian government. Meanwhile KLM Cargo has opened a new European sub-hub operation and cargo service centre at Zaragoza,

northern Spain.

German independent Euro-wings has launched a new route from Dresden to Amster-dam, following its marketing cooperation with KLM. The carrier has also taken over services from Stuttgart and Düsseldorf to Amsterdam.

German regional Interot has introduced weekday services from Augsburg and Cologne/ Bonn to London City.

British Airways is to resume a weekly service to Kano, Nigeria, after a two year break in January.

Jersey European has increased its daily frequencies between London/Gatwick and Belfast City to five a day. The carrier has also launched a twice daily service between Birmingham and the Channel Islands.

Air India has launched a twice weekly service from Manches- ter to Delhi and Bombay.

Lufthansa is to resume its three times a week service from Frankfurt to Lima, Peru, and Quito, Ecuador, after a four year break. Meanwhile, the German carrier has agreed its first codeshare flights with Thai Airways, including 14 flights a week from Frankfurt to Bangkok

and two weekly flights from Munich to Bangkok with connections to Chiang Mai and Phuket.
