The Airline Strategy Awards 2017 has been officially launched with a call for nominations. This year's event will take place on Sunday 9 July, returning to the Middle Temple Hall in London.
FlightGlobal will be delivering the 16th annual awards with a new partner: the executive search firm Korn Ferry.
"I am delighted that FlightGlobal has agreed to continue our strong partnership from my new home at Korn Ferry," says the firm's senior client partner Michael Bell, who has worked with the Flight Airline Business team on the awards since their inception in 2002.
Over the next few months, nominations will be collected for six categories and considered by a judging panel featuring vastly experienced industry veterans.
July's exclusive invitation-only ceremony will be attended by a select group of airline executives, industry professionals and international media, making it an excellent networking opportunity.
Attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception before a three-course meal, the awards ceremony and post-dinner drinks.
At last year's event, Ryanair's Michael O'Leary took the top prize, winning in the Executive Leadership category.
Other winners in 2016 included Tony Tyler, then-IATA chief, who took the Flight Airline Business Award; Enrique Beltranena, chief executive of Volaris, for Low-Cost Leadership; David Neeleman, chief executive of Azul, for Regional Leadership; Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic for Finance; JetBlue Airways for Marketing; and Emirates Airline for Network Strategy.
