The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has awarded Embraer with a type certification for its Phenom 300 light jet to operate the aircraft in the country.
"With CAAC's certificate for Phenom 300, Embraer Executive Jets' five in-service models have been certified by China's civil aviation authority," says Embraer China's president Guan Dongyuan.
"The China market has shown confidence in our aircraft with 28 firm orders and five options for business aircraft in this developing market."
The Phenom 300 can accommodate up to 11 people in a standard configuration and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535-E engines.
The aircraft is equipped with NBAA IFR fuel reserves and has a range of 1,971nm (3,650km).
In the Asia-Pacific region, Australia, Indonesia, India and the Philippines have certified the aircraft for use in their countries.
