Airlines have another portable in-flight entertainment (IFE) option to choose from after Irish firm Airvod launched its new compact player, the Crystal 7, at the recent World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) conference and exhibition in Palm Springs, California.
The light-weight, ultra-slim Crystal 7 offers 20 hours of battery life and features a new capacitive multi-touch display. Airvod claims the device is the smallest portable on the market. Airvod says Danish charter carrier Jet Time has placed a Crystal 7 order, and that it will announce a number of new customers shortly.
According to Flightglobal's ACAS database, Jet Time operates a fleet of five Boeing 737-300s.
Terms of the deal between Airvod and Jet Time have not been released.
