Air New Zealand has contracted UK spares specialist AJ Walter Aviation to provide component support for a Boeing 767 fleet.
The hour-based agreement – which covers five aircraft – falls under a range of "innovative sunset solutions" for mature aircraft, AJW says.
It adds that the deal will involve utilisation of inventory owned by Air New Zealand and additional consignment stock from AJW's facility in Singapore.
In 2013, Air New Zealand selected the aftermarket company to support components for its Airbus A320 fleet.
In return, the airline's maintenance division is conducting equipment repairs for AJW.
That partnership was expanded in 2015 to cover Airbus A320s operated by Tigerair Australia.
Air New Zealand holds a 26% share in that carrier's parent Virgin Australia.
